Business Office Manager
Don Kennedy Roofing Company, two-time National Roofing Contractor of the Year, is looking for new additions to our team for the position of Office Manager. This role is responsible for managing our front office customer service team of 6 people, executing weekly payroll, and overseeing our accounts receivable and accounts payable department. This position is an in-person role in our office in downtown Nashville. Our daily hours are 7:30-4:00.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience, including but not limited to managing direct reports, direct performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, professional development, and completion of annual performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pass a background check and drug test
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with basic bookkeeping software.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions:
Administrative Management:
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure a smooth functioning office environment
- Coordinate and manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for sales representatives.
- Handle correspondence, documentation, and office supplies procurement
- Take care of all office needs from buying supplies, paying office-related invoices, keeping the kitchen stocked and clean, and more.
- Manage the office cleaning service and adjust as needed.
- Assist management in planning company events/parties
- Manage daily activities of two to five employees to ensure we uphold the company’s core values while providing opportunities for growth and learning
Basic Bookkeeping:
- Manage employees in accounts payable and receivable roles.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in budget preparation.
Human Resources Support:
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting follow-ups.
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new employees, including updates to our HR system and enrolling in our 401k
- Support HR functions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with remote teams throughout the region to coordinate activities and ensure effective communication
- Provide administrative support to various team members as needed
