We have an Oil & Energy client looking for a Senior Cost Controller to support their projects across the United States. The Project Services - Cost Control role is integral to the project management team. This position ensures that projects are completed within budget and achieve financial goals by effectively tracking expenditures, updating cost reports, and managing all aspects of cost control.

Essential Functions
- Cost Control Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cost control reports that align with project objectives, budgets, and contractual requirements.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor project budgets, track and analyze expenditures, and ensure costs align with project estimates. Identify budget variances and deviations.
- Forecasting: Prepare accurate cost forecasts, considering project progress and scope changes. Regularly update project managers and stakeholders on cost implications.
- Change Management: Evaluate and process change orders and project scope variations. Assess the impact of these changes on project costs and schedules.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost risks and uncertainties that may affect project budgets and propose strategies for risk mitigation and cost containment.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute detailed cost control reports to stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics, cost performance, and areas for improvement.
- Integration with Other Functions: Work closely with project teams, schedulers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost control measures align with overall project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of project costs, change orders, and financial documents for auditing and compliance purposes.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in cost control or project accounting, preferably within the energy sector or related industries.

- Strong knowledge of cost control systems and software, along with proficiency in financial software/tools.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost issues and proactively propose solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
