Job Summary: As an Estimator specializing in multifamily construction projects, you will play a crucial role in the budgeting and cost estimation processes. You will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates. Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for multifamily construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Bid Management: Prepare and review bid proposals, ensuring that all elements of the project are covered and aligned with client requirements.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project budgets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
