Length: 13-26 weeks
Will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidaysCall required if called off on a prescheduled shift
Requirements:- NC License
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Skills: Administer chemo
- Experience in an inpatient setting is required
- Chemotherapy administration certification
- BLS
- Will cert for Chemo
- CPI and Charge nurse experience preferred
Other Details:- Will accept 1st time travelers

- Target Ratios: 1:6-7
- PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
- Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location

** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
