The Operations Manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing various aspects of operational excellence. This position involves collaborating with leadership to enhance staffing, training, professional development, inventory management, safety protocols, and operational efficiency. The Operations Manager's primary focus is to ensure high-quality customer service and support. Successful candidates for this role will excel in utilizing data-driven insights to optimize operations and improve overall organizational success.
Salary: $63,000-$68,000
Target Bonus: 15% of annual salary (paid quarterly)
Auto Allowance: Fixed bi-weekly contribution plus monthly variable mileage reimbursement
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a team of operational leaders
- Analyze complex data to improve operational processes, workflows, and customer experiences
- Develop and implement budget guidelines, track financial performance, and manage spending
- Ensure accurate scheduling and timecard management
- Anticipate staffing requirements and collaborate with the HR team to maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Promote compliance with safety standards and provide safety training
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance client satisfaction and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Identify opportunities to expand services
- Conduct site visits to uphold service standards
- Oversee fleet management and maintenance
- Manage warehouse inventory
- Identify and groom potential future leaders
- Lead the adoption and completion of various projects
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5-7 years of leadership experience with budgeting and reporting
- Previous experience in a managerial role preferred
- Proven track record in implementing effective business practices
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Customer service experience and a customer-centric focus
- Basic knowledge of human resource practices
- Ability to make quick, sound business decisions under pressure
- Skill in motivating teams to meet tight deadlines
Physical Requirements and Special Conditions of Employment:
- Ability to work at a computer in a sitting or standing position
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, walk stairs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles
- Availability for irregular hours based on business needs
