My client has been operating in the Metro Detroit market for over 30 years as a full service Self-Perform contractor. Their portfolio is diverse with premier clients in the Automotive, Manufacturing, Energy, and Wastewater sectors. They're actively looking to add a Project Manager who is proficient in Self-Perform Concrete who is interested in overseeing multiple projects at once and is eager to influence processes company wide.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the detailed planning, scheduling, and execution of Concrete Scopes of Industrial/Automotive construction projects
- Lead and manage concrete crews, providing clear direction, technical support, and supervision to guarantee high-quality concrete work and compliance with project specifications.
- Create and maintain project budgets, closely monitor costs, and ensure optimal resource allocation for concrete construction tasks.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures, conduct regular inspections, and ensure all concrete work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with crews and enforce strict compliance with OSHA safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with senior leadership, clients, architects, and owners to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Construction Experience with a successful track record of self-perform Concrete
- 5+ years in a Project Management role
- Proficiency in Procore or other construction software
- BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent preferred
- OSHA Certified
- Ability to travel bi-weekly to job sites (2 days every other week)
- Professional Engineering License preferred
