We are actively seeking a Director of Legal Operations located in the Phoenix area with the following qualifications:
- At least 8+ years of experience in legal operations, with a proven track record of establishing and managing a legal operations function.
- Substantive experience developing and implementing a comprehensive legal operations strategy, including but not limited to; Defining and documenting processes, policies, and procedures to streamline legal operations; Creating a framework for legal project management and workflow automation; Developing and managing the legal department budget.
- Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
- Substantive understanding of legal technology solutions and their implementation.
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
- Willingness to support a hybrid role requiring three days onsite in Phoenix-based office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) preferred.
- PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification(s) a plus.
- Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.
Support our client with the following Legal Operations responsibilities:
- Work closely with the General Counsel and other senior leadership to ensure legal operations are aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
- Create a framework for legal project management and workflow automation.
- Implement efficient and effective legal operations procedures to support the legal department and the broader organization.
- Continuously assess and improve legal processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define and document processes, policies, and procedures to streamline legal operations.
- Develop and oversee compliance programs and policies.
