BioTalent are currently supporting a mid-size CDMO based in Maryland, we are searching for a Team Leader within Upstream Process Development. As the Team Leader in Upstream Process Development, you will take a leading role in early and late stage process development of mammalian cell culture processes.
This role will offer you the opportunity to grow into a leadership capacity within Upstream Process Development, developing your leadership skills with people and projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead development of robust and scalable upstream mammalian cell culture processes for biologics in different stages of clinical development.
- Advance upstream processes by improving efficiency and cost effectiveness through research and innovation, while assessing technologies and industry best practices.
- Lead projects across tech transfer, manufacturing support and process validation for successful commercialization.
- Work with senior leadership to set overall project strategy for Upstream Process Development and take a leading role in guiding execution.
You will bring the following:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical sciences or similar life science discipline (PhD is preferred), along with industry experience working as a subject matter expert in cell culture process development.
- Expertise with a variety of Bioreactors such as, AMBR, XDR and BioBlu.
- Experience with a variety of mammalian cell lines / expression systems will be highly desirable.
