Pharmacist in Charge:
We are seeking a Bilingual Pharmacist in Charge to run our brand new onsite retail pharmacy located in Kennett Square, PA. This job entails preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients while directly managing 1-2 technician.
The hours are:
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday 8am to 12pm (no break for lunch)
NO WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, or OVERNIGHTS REQUIRED
Required Education & Skills:
- Active PharmD or RPh licensure to practice in required State
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to provide professional advice on medications dispensed and sold over the counter
- Ability to provide effective medication use and become the people’s trusted ally against health issues
Experience:
- 2 years related pharmacy experience in Pharmacy Management
- Experience with the utilization of Patient Management System in the Pharmacy
- 340B experience preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
- Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient
- Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed
- Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated
- Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies
- Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
- Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
