We are seeking an experienced and talented Quality Control Engineer to join our Southern California team in our Irvine Millikan Lab. This is an exempt position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and management of materials testing and inspection projects
- Review field inspection reports
- Review laboratory test reports
- Preparation of proposals for testing and inspection services, including take-offs and cost estimates
- Prepare mix design for review/approval
- Prepare project close-out documentation and reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5-10 years of experience working in a civil or geotechnical environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of test methods
- Strong problem-analysis skills and the ability to develop alternative strategies
- Experience overseeing materials testing and special inspections
- Prior experience in quality management
- Understanding of accreditation policies for all relevant agencies including Caltrans, DSA, AMRL, CCRL, IAS, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Desired: EIT and/or PE
