RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the running of the project in a safety capacity: ensuring we are following safe procedures and keeping everyone out of harm’s way.
- Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across the project, functions, and locations (areas and segments).
- Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
- Making sure project follows safety specifications mandated by contract, state, and federal agencies.
- Making sure work environment is safe environment for all employees.
- Effectively develop and apply the core skills to the job.
- Assists or gives safety training for individuals on site.
- Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years EHS work experience, with 5 years in similar industry.
- Must Have Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
- 24-hours formal safety training in past 5 years.
- Bilingual Speaker (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to interact professionally with employees and clients of various levels.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors or better.
Experience
Required:
Must have a valid driver’s license.
