About the Role
We are seeking a Founding Engineer passionate about advancing autonomy and real-time maritime communication technologies. Join the founding team in LA, to build a real-time data platform that processes data from autonomous marine systems, integrating diverse sensors, AI analytics, and ensuring military-grade security and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will
- Set new standards for software in maritime autonomous systems, tackling diverse engineering challenges and leading the development of scalable, real-time data collection systems.
- Collaborate with top engineers across software, hardware, and autonomy, shaping technical decisions and evolving the software stack.
- Work on features spanning embedded systems, cloud-based pipelines, and user interfaces while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in autonomous systems, defense tech, or related fields.
- Expertise in high-volume data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and edge processing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, React, C/C++, electronics, and hardware-software integration is a plus.
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL databases, and real-time processing is essential.
- Startup experience is essential
