Their Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network is revolutionizing global broadband connectivity.
As a Satellite (Payload) System Architect you play a pivotal role in the architecture, design and development of the constellation system with an emphasis on Telecommunication Payloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the wider constellation team, you will define the system architecture, system requirements and network elements.
- You will support in the design and development of key areas of the system, including end-to-end communication systems, resource allocation mechanisms, network entry mechanisms, network element management systems.
- You will share your knowledge and expertise in communication payloads with the wider team, and support in the design and architecture of such communication payloads.
- You will work with the system integration and test team to support with the planning of integration and testing of all aspects of the constellation system.
- You will identify and mitigate risks for the system design, and develop mitigation strategies when needed.
- You will work closely with external vendors and partners in the development of the constellation system.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in satellite system architecture.
- 10+ years experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of satellite communication protocols, orbital mechanics, and space systems.
- Experience with software defined satellite communication payloads.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies and space industry standards.
- Must be a US Citizen.
This position offers hybrid working, with a requirement for 3 days onsite per week and will require regular travel to Canada.
