Position: Project Superintendent
The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the progress of one or multiple construction projects. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, along with proficiency in all areas of construction, including methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control. Building and maintaining relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee field supervisors and workers on construction projects, including roadways, dams, highways, and pipelines (project values: $5M–$50M).
- Interpret and enforce safety policies, plans, specifications, and local codes.
- Schedule inspections, quality testing, and compliance documentation.
- Manage materials, inspections, and manpower to meet project schedules.
- Conduct daily reports, maintain project schedules, and inspect ongoing work.
- Direct subcontractors and personnel to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform employee reviews, resolve grievances, and attend superintendent meetings.
- Complete 10+ hours of construction management training annually.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, heavy equipment, and utility/urban reconstruction.
- Experience with concrete work, reading blueprints, scheduling, field supervision, safety, quality control, and budgeting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work alternate schedules, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks.
