7-10 Years Experience preferred
Must-Have Skills
Ability to track and organize documentation, experiment results, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work-in-progress (WIP) logs
Experience scaling processes/process development/process improvement/process scale-up from research to pilot production or mass manufacture, and implementing quality control procedures to resolve processing problems
Ability to design and implement process development plans, design of experiments (DOE), establishing critical process parameters and quality control strategies
Nice-to-Have Skills
Presentation/Data analysis skills
Communicating with Asia-Pacific teams
Summary:
The main function of a process engineer is to drive the development of new processes and materials for camera and depth module projects and contribute to the core expertise of a world-class engineering team. Framing process and materials research problems, planning projects, and leading the execution.
Development of state-of-the-art processes and prototypes will require the intersection of novel materials, and mechanical, electrical, and software fields.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, process, and materials engineers to manage the development and documentation of innovative camera and depth module assembly processes
Design and execute life-cycle approach validation efforts to validate existing processes for the production of quality and conforming parts
Lead the overseas production of parts using developed or newly developed processes on a schedule with tight timelines, with a focus on design for manufacturability
Specify and operate analytical equipment used in process development
Identify and solve blocking issues for designers and engineers, maximizing their efficiency by ensuring they have the manufacturing tools and information they need
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
