We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations in our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, month and year-end reports, and an in-depth understanding of FLSA, per diems and other staffing issues. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll of 400-500 contractors weekly and 50 internal staff employees bi-weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll systems such as ADP WFN, Business Central and Bullhorn One.
- Execute monthly and year-end reports, ensuring complete accuracy.
- Oversee payroll processes for 400-500 contractors on a weekly basis and 50 internal staff bi-weekly.
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries, including those related to staff issues, FLSA and per diems.
- Ensure compliance with existing company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with finance and HR departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Stay updated on latest developments and changes in payroll and tax regulations.
- Assist the finance department in the preparation and management of the company's budget.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist or similar role.
- Proficient in ADP WFN and transitioning to Bullhorn One soon.
- Must have an understanding of FLSA, per diems and other staffing issues.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience managing complex payroll systems.
- Solid understanding of month and year-end reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in staffing is highly preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to perform large amounts of numerical data with attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and database software.
