Roles and Responsibilities
Office 365 Administration
- User Management/Azure Active Directory Administration:
- Create/Delete user accounts, monitor service health, role permissions and manage service requests.
- Knowledge and use of PowerShell.
SharePoint Administration
- Create & manage Site Collections and global settings.
- Manage user profiles.
- OneDrive user management.
Exchange Administration
- Manage mailboxes and anti-spam policies.
Compliance Administration
- Manage security and compliance policies.
- Review and audit to validate compliance with policies.
Knowledge and support of all Office Suites
- End user support on Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and other programs.
AWS Administration
- Configure AWS Cloud management while monitoring and managing its services.
- Implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS.
- Select appropriate AWS service based on compute, data and security requirements.
- Estimate AWS usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms.
- Performing software upgrades, kernel patching and errata patches.
- Establish metrics, monitor carefully the utilization of AWS resources by using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Develop scripts for automating cloud/server functions.
- Perform on-premise resources backup by making use of AWS services.
- Manage disaster recovery and create backups.
Network Administration Support
- Support and troubleshoot network systems at 13 office locations.
- Provide end user support for 125 employees.
- Office 365, VPN, Remote Desktop, TimeClock and some proprietary systems.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Configure routers for WAN/LAN/VLAN, firewall policies, prioritizing network traffic, load balancing and failover.
- Monitor and update router firmware by using cloud management.
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity of all hardware, server resources, patch management, systems and key processes; reviewing system and application logs and backups.
- Administer user accounts.
- Provide system support.
- Active Directory management.
Help Desk Support
- Serve as point of contact for employees and customers seeking technical assistance over phone or email.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through techniques and questions.
- Determine best solution based on issue with little down time.
- Document all help desk items and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

- Ability to setup and configure server hardware.
- Management experience with AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of databases and database servers like SQL server.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PHP and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (7,8 and 10).
- Knowledge of Linux and MAC OS a plus.
Education and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Management or related field
- 4 years of experience in Information Technology Operations
- Combination of education, training and experience
- Proven experience in a system administrator role.
- Proven experience with AWS/Azure administration.
- Proven experience with networking administration.
