Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee the routing of all shipments, optimizing consolidation opportunities
- Ensure customer service expectations are met consistently
- Confirm completion of all pickups and promptly address any issues with vendors
- Coordinate Black and Gold drops at Line Haul, ensuring nightly cut-offs are adhered to
- Update and maintain accurate shipment information in the computer system
- Foster and develop relationships with airline and surface carriers
- Enforce compliance with regulatory standards, including IATA and TSA regulations
- Lead and support the PM OPS personnel, actively engaging in customer service matters
- Streamline paperwork processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide quotes and track/trace shipments as necessary to support the operations team
- Evaluate and select external vendors to supplement operational needs
- Assist in completing Carrier "Report Card" with carrier feedback
- Handle OS&D (Over, Short, and Damage) issues swiftly and effectively
- Negotiate spot rates on line hauls and with airlines to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of job-related or industry work experience
- Proficiency in Excel ,Word and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and achieve objectives without direct supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address recurring issues
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by the VP of Operations
- Flexibility to work across multiple shifts as required.
