Full Job Description
- PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide violence prevention services including domestic violence, stalking, dating violence & sexual prevention education programming for the YWCA Youth Violence Prevention team by teaching Safe Dates, Teens Against Bullying, and Coaching Boys Into Men curricula in Hamilton County public schools.
- All services should be delivered with the underlying focus of how these services and the students receiving them are impacted by racial inequities.
- Conduct outreach to high schools in Hamilton County to implement dating violence and sexual violence prevention education to students. Responsible for training formal project partners, parents, and community members on dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and sexual violence.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with local school personnel. Complete necessary monthly reports to inform the Senior Director of the progress of classroom instruction.
- Provide outreach and oversight of peer led bullying prevention initiatives in Hamilton County Schools.
- Participate in Regional and State meetings to stay in compliance with program funders and maintain knowledge surrounding best practice methods regarding violence prevention.
- Attend restorative practices and other training sessions as needed.
- Work on other violence prevention initiatives as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director
Clerical/General Administrative
- Responds to routine email, phone calls, etc.
- Makes copies, prints documents, etc.
- Files paperwork
Key Relationships
- Interacts with Senior Director, other YWCA staff, volunteers, students, other social services provider agencies and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human service or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in teaching youth in a school setting, strong communication, organizational and project planning skills, and a sensitivity to individuals from diverse economic, cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experience, Trauma –Informed Care, and demonstrated experience in facilitating therapeutic group services preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and favorable driving record.
