Exciting opportunity to work for a global market-leading HVAC manufacturer who are searching for an experienced HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join their Data Center team.

Responsibilities:
System Design Review
Collaborate with design engineers to review HVAC system designs and ensure they meet the specific requirements of the data center environment, including redundancy, scalability, and energy efficiency.
Develop Commissioning Plans
Create detailed commissioning plans that outline the procedures for testing and validating the HVAC systems, including schedules, milestones, and specific tests to be performed.
Pre-Commissioning Checks
Conduct pre-commissioning inspections to verify that all HVAC components are installed according to specifications and are ready for operational testing.
System Testing
Perform functional testing of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, CRAC units, and BMS controls, to ensure they operate correctly under various load conditions and in compliance with design specifications.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
Identify and diagnose issues that arise during commissioning, work with installation teams to resolve them, and ensure that all systems are fully operational.
Data Collection and Analysis
Collect data during system testing, analyze performance metrics, and compare them against design parameters to confirm system efficiency and reliability.
Documentation
Please prepare detailed reports for the commissioning activities, including any deviations from design, corrective actions taken, and final system performance with Other Teams
Work closely with other project teams, including electrical, mechanical, and IT departments, to ensure that all systems are integrated and functioning together as intended.
Validation of Control Systems
Validate that all control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC), are properly configured and functioning as required.
Training and Handover
Provide training to operations and maintenance staff on the proper operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, and hand over all relevant documentation and system manuals.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure all HVAC systems comply with relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly concerning environmental controls and fire safety in data centers.
Energy Efficiency Optimization
Evaluate system performance with an eye toward optimizing energy efficiency and recommend adjustments or upgrades to improve the data center's overall energy consumption.
Continuous Monitoring and Support
Provide ongoing support during the initial operation phase, monitor system performance, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure continued optimal operation.
Risk Assessment
Conduct risk assessments related to HVAC systems, focusing on potential points of failure that could impact data center uptime, and develop mitigation strategies.
Emergency Response Planning
Assist in the development of emergency response plans specific to HVAC system failures, including the coordination of backup systems and failover procedures.
