The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day coordination of incoming correspondence from internal and external customers, maintaining system data updates, supporting payment functions and ancillary duties as needed.
Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)
The Insurance Coordinator will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Interact with internal and external customers as required to respond to incoming emails
- Follow up and respond to insurance emails within specified time frames
- Provide support to resolve insurance related borrower inquiries
- Review, route, and process all items received via mail and email
- Research non-pay cancellation notices received via mail
- Maintain integrity of system data as it pertains to insurance updates
- Reach out to external customers/insurance agents to obtain policies, paid in full receipts, and other lender required documents
- Support team projects as needed
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent;Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance, Mortgage Servicing, or Escrow preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contribution
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accountability, accuracy and dependability
- Strong time management, prioritization, organizational & multi-tasking skills
- Must be able to exercise judgement
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Must have initiative, motivated, flexible attitude and be able to adapt to a changing environment
- Prior experience in mortgage servicing, banking, or insurance industry

Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $48,000 to $52,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
