After more than 48 years serving foodservice equipment dealers, contractors, and end users, we are looking for a resourceful sales assistant to provide professional support to our sales team.
Overview
As a Logistics and Customer Service Assistant at Mr. Winter, you’ll help answer customers’ questions, process orders, coordinate shipments, and solve problems by actively listening to our customers’ needs and proactively following up on issues.
Your goal will be to respond to customer service requests within 15 minutes, process parts orders the same day they are received, and coordinate daily shipments.
Your success will help Mr. Winter’s sales team expand its growing reach east of the Mississippi River - helping hundreds of small businesses like restaurants, bars, breweries, ice creameries, convenience stores, and flower shops survive and thrive - while simultaneously developing your knowledge and skills in the commercial refrigeration industry.

Requirements
Not everyone can be a Mr. Winter Logistics and Customer Service Assistant. To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
- Experience: You must have at least 2 years of experience in a Sales Assistant or Customer Service Representative role with comparable goals and responsibilities (commercial refrigeration, foodservice equipment, and/or manufacturing background is a plus).
- Skills: You must be a great verbal communicator with good writing skills; a self-aware and detail-oriented individual with well-developed empathy who actively listens to customers to determine their pain points, build rapport, and solve their problems. You must also understand the importance of maintaining the quality and integrity of our systems. Experience with HubSpot or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
- Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you must be curious, calm under pressure, and possess an owner’s mindset. It’s also an evolving role within the company, so you must seek growth, be coachable, and open to feedback and new ideas.
Responsibilities
As a Mr. Winter B2B Logistics and Customer Service Assistant, you’ll collaborate with the sales and executive teams to learn, build relationships, and improve customer satisfaction. Throughout your journey, you’ll be responsible for:
- Answering phone calls and emails to handle customer service requests
- Delighting our customers with useful product and service information
- Processing parts orders immediately so customers receive their products in a timely manner
- Coordinating and optimizing shipments to increase efficiency and minimize customer service requests
- Communicating with our sales and executive teams to solve problems quickly
- Keeping HubSpot (our CRM) up-to-date to maintain accurate customer information in a centralized database accessible to all
- Assisting our sales team with quote preparation and customer follow-up to improve conversion rates and increase sales revenue
- Identifying gaps and opportunities in our sales and customer service processes to improve performance
