We are seeking a driven individual to provide extensive legal support to our Real Estate and Development Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our Vice President of Real Estate in managing and organizing legal matters and cases, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents. The Junior Attorney should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective oral and written communication abilities, and a high level of professional ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and preparing declarations, ECCR reviews, easements, and conducting title reviews.
- Provide Support in Responding to Subpoenas.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal documents such as amendments, Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment agreements (SNDA’s), estoppels, equipment waivers, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s).
- Providing support for general legal tasks, including managing subpoena requests and responses to small claims.
- Actively participating in lease negotiation meetings to ascertain company requirements and preferences.
- Conducting legal research on pertinent real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address legal issues affecting real estate and operational matters.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of legal strategies to mitigate risk and optimize outcomes.
- Managing and maintaining an organized database of legal documents and agreements.
- Providing support for general business law matters, such as contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Supporting intellectual property matters, including trademark searches, applications, and enforcement actions.
- Assisting with general employment law matters and supporting general state and federal employment laws.
- Assisting with regulatory compliance efforts, including researching and interpreting relevant laws and regulations, and developing compliance policies and procedures.
- Providing litigation support, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and assisting with trial preparation.
- Collaborating with external counsel on various legal matters, including managing relationships and coordinating legal strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 Years' Experience in Business Law.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Proven experience as an associate attorney, preferably in the practice area of the hiring law firm.
- Thorough knowledge of California real estate laws and regulations.
- Experience with Texas, Florida, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona real estate laws and regulations is ideal.
- Exceptional drafting and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and independently, while fostering effective collaboration within a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal software.
Requirements:
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Ability to work in a gym setting; move about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and vendors.
- Ability to access and operate Company computer system including prepare documents, enter data into computer system, read reports from a computer database or email system.

Compensation: $115K - $120K Annual Salary
