Job Summary
The 3D Printing Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating our 3D metal printers. You will maintain our MELD machines, prep materials, and workspace as well as contribute to shop housekeeping efforts. Responsibilities:
- Set up and Operate CNC-controlled 3D printers.
- Perform basic maintenance on 3D printers.
- Monitor machine performance and take action to correct problems.
- Prep materials and workspace
- Maintain cleanliness of work and shop areas.
- Provide feedback to management, engineering, and co-workers regarding machines, projects, or processes that you are working on.
- Other tasks may include supporting other areas when needed, like shipping, packing, and quality.
Required:
- Adherence to safety and health procedures
- 1+ years’ experience with machine operation
- Analytical problem solver
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow written processes and procedures.
- Flexibility in daily assignments
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Must be willing to train during first shift hours.
Preferred:
- 1+ years operating CNC-controlled lathes or mills
- Attention to detail, pay close attention to measurements, tolerances, and the quality of finished products.
- Problem-solving skills, troubleshooting problems quickly and efficiently are highly valued.
- Mechanical aptitude - understanding of mechanical principles that help operators set up machines properly and understand how various components work together.
- Mathematical aptitude for calculating for programming and measurements. Proficiency in mathematics helps ensure accuracy.
Education:
Associate's degree in a related field or relevant experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 40 pounds.
