Position: Asst Section Manager of Parts Planning Control
Location: Boaz, AL 35957
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
Salary: $55,000 – $66,000
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma
- 3 years experience in supply chain management
- ERP Experience
- Effective leadership skills
- Computer skills (primarily MS Office)
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing flow, general business knowledge, analytical skills, effective problem solving capability, strong communication skill, organizational skill, time management capabilities, effective decision making, and effective activity planning capabilities.
Plusses:
- Bachelors degree in business or related field
- Manufacturing experience
- ERP / QAD experience
Day to Day:
Procuring parts – running MRP and working with supply base to make sure parts are in stock in timely manner. Control Inventory.
Effectively manage and complete assigned responsibilities within the Parts Planning Control section in order to support achievement of company and section goals and targets.
General
- Follow/Maintain targets within the company/section, including business plan and budget
- Coordinate daily team leader meeting rotation schedule
- Attend and contribute to Parts Planning Control Section meetings
- Facilitate group meetings as needed
- Interview Potential Associates
- Follow established processes, policies, procedures in support of IATF16949, ISO,
- J-SOX, SQCD, USMCA, and company handbook guidelines and regulations
- Support company physical inventory activities
- Support Parts Planning Control Section safety and 5S initiatives
- Ensure proper workload balance for Team Leader(s), Staff II, and Staff I within PPC
Commercial
- Lead resolution of all commercial items within Parts Planning Control
- Ordering
- Responsible for overall material forecast/release methods/accuracy to suppliers
- Responsible for overall supplier delivery performance
- Responsible for overall Parts Planning Control design change control activities
- Responsible for overall OEM inventory levels
- Control production downtime from parts supply
- Responsible for OEM Purchase Order approvals
Logistics
- Responsible for management of freight contract(s)
- Responsible for supporting Section Manager with freight budget establishment and
- monthly freight accrual to accounting.
- Packaging
- Responsible for management of OEM parts packaging cost
Design Change
- Ensure timely completion of Build-Out related activities to avoid excess stock and additional freight
- New Model
- Support supplier new model readiness evaluation activities
- Manage New Model SAP for Parts Planning Control group
- Manage new model activities per new model plan
Leadership
- Create and conduct performance evaluations with Coordinator(s)
- Perform Corrective Action as needed (Coaching, Counseling, etc.)
- Support development of strategy or process changes to enhance overall performance
- Facilitate continuous improvement among Parts Planning Control group
- Collect data and report progress for Parts Planning Control key metric items
- Conduct training for Coordinator(s) as needed.
Business Planning
- Participate in and facilitate business planning activities as required
- Create/Enforce/Review/Report section business plan/budget/targets
