Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Partner to join their growing Miami office. As a key member of their Labor & Employment Department, you will have the opportunity to lead high-profile litigation cases involving a wide range of employment issues. The firm has a reputation for providing top-tier legal representation in employment litigation, with a particular focus on trial and appellate work before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitrations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage employment litigation cases, including age, disability, sex, and race discrimination claims, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblower violations, and trade secret disputes.
- Represent clients in trials, appeals, arbitrations, and before federal and state courts and agencies.
- Provide legal counsel on employment law compliance and risk management, leveraging regulatory knowledge.
- Work closely with clients to develop and execute defense strategies tailored to their goals, whether it's aggressive litigation or early settlement.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient case management, leveraging technology for discovery, trial preparation, and maintaining cost-effective legal practices.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- Extensive experience in employment litigation, including trial and appellate work.
- Demonstrated experience in handling cases involving employment law claims such as discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblower violations, non-compete disputes, and other related issues.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet client goals through strategic defense and litigation planning.
