iDANZ Performing Arts Studio is dedicated to fostering a love of dance from an early age by providing a nurturing and creative environment for young children. Our mobile dance program is designed to introduce children to the world of dance through playful movement, music, and imaginative activities that develop coordination, rhythm, and confidence.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a warm, energetic, and patient Dance Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and dance, with a passion for teaching young children. As a Mobile Dance Instructor, you will create a joyful and supportive learning environment where children can explore movement and develop their foundational dance skills.

Ballet
Tap
Jazz
Hip Hop
Breakdancing
Latin
African
Bollywood
and More!
Our instructors are creative and eager to challenge our dancers while creating a fun learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Dance Classes: Lead fun and engaging dance classes for preschool aged children (typically ages 2-5), as well as some after school dancers ages 6 and up, focusing on basic movements, rhythm, and creative expression.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate elements of dance, music, and play, while supporting children's physical, emotional, and social development. Our instructors are trained and equipped with tools to engage the students.
- Child Engagement: Create a positive, inclusive, and playful atmosphere that encourages children to participate and express themselves through movement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring that all children are actively involved and adhering to class guidelines.
- Parent Communication: Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress, class activities, and any upcoming events or performances.
- Performance Preparation: Organize and prepare children for small performances or recitals, helping them build confidence and enjoy the experience of performing.
- Adaptability: Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and abilities of individual children, ensuring that all students are supported and encouraged.
- Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during classes by following health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Dance Expertise: Background in dance, with experience in styles appropriate for young children. See style list above. Basic dance training is necessary inn the fundamental styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop.
- Early Childhood Experience: Experience working with preschool/elementary aged children in a teaching, coaching, or caregiving role is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with young children and their parents.
- Patience and Enthusiasm: A patient, enthusiastic, and caring demeanor, with a genuine love for working with young children.
- Creative Teaching Methods: Ability to develop creative and imaginative lesson plans that engage young learners.
- Certifications: Dance teaching certification and/or early childhood education certification is a plus.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel to the class location.
- Must be available during daytime hours.
