ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the V.P. of Product Support, this position serves as primary interface with helicopter owners/customers to assist them with technical issues both in the field and at the factory. Run schools and teach mechanics/owners technical aspects of helicopter. Write and update technical manuals.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as a contact at factory for technical services and technical issues.
- Responds to calls, FAX’s, letters, E-mails and other contacts and requests for technical support.
- Travels to field upon direction from supervisor and works with customers, technical issues, to assist and troubleshoot problems.
- Writes and updates technical manuals and other communications with owners and operators in the field. Serves as communicator with field.
- Serves as contact at factory for school information.
- Interfaces with customers for Repair Station requirements for overhauls and repairs.
- Creates and organizes customer service work orders for repair station activities.
- Assists with the development of factory training course curriculum, organizes materials, and structures delivery.
- Assists with the development and update of training manual.
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS NEEDED
- Current A&P certificate required.
- Current rotorcraft pilot certificate (CFI preferred).
- Outstanding communications skills.
- Skilled and experienced with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe.
- Ability to relate to customers and work well with people.
- Experience with FAA and/or EASA 145 repair station activities.
- Thorough knowledge of technical troubleshooting.
- General product knowledge.
- Experience in curriculum development preferred.
- Teaching ability and/or experience.
- Ability to work independently to resolve complex technical problems.
