The Opportunity:
Fujitsu General America, Inc. (FGAI) has a Sales Engineer opportunity in the Applied Rep channel within the HVAC industry. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of applied reps throughout the Western United States. Travel is required within specified territory (Western U.S.). The territory would include the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado.
What You'll Do Every Day:
- Identify, sign, and onboard Applied Representatives throughout the Western United States
- Coordinate with the local Fujitsu Sales Engineer to provide support for the Applied Reps
- Effectively communicate all products and features of the Fujitsu Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) line
- Educate Applied Reps on the VRF market and the potential applications for each product
- Manage and mentor Applied Reps to acquire plan and spec projects
- Ensure that the applied rep has the resources for training contractors on the proper installation and startup of VRF systems
- Track and communicate customer demand for products so that inventory is available to meet orders
- Follow up on customers’ questions regarding billing and inventory
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of HVAC Sales experience (Applied Rep / Manufacturer) in the Western United States
- Engineering degree is preferred
- Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) experience is preferred
- Experience with multiple HVAC products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Well organized and excellent time management skills; self-motivated
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and soft skills
- Ability to provide sales forecasting
