Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with the company’s existing home builder customers and key accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to drive market share growth within the home building industry.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations.
- Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to review performance, address concerns, and explore new business opportunities.

Market Share Expansion
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company’s market share within the existing customer base.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth.
Customer Support
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, and customer service) to ensure that customer needs are met, and issues are resolved promptly.
- Provide customers with product information, training, and support to enhance their experience with the company’s services.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers and seamless integration of new products or services.
Sales Performance
- Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) as set by the Vice President of Sales.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on account performance, market trends, and sales forecasts.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns that may impact long-term relationships.
Contract Negotiation
- Lead negotiations for contract renewals, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure that all contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the home building or construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing key accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Travel
- Regular travel to customer sites and industry events may be required.
- Combination of office work and field visits.
