Overview
We are an established regional TL carrier that is domiciled in Dallas, TX.
Position
The position offered is for a Sales Executive. The ideal candidate will have sales experience in a truckload environment. Local and regional freight is the primary objective.
Primary Responsibilities
- This position will have a leadership role within the company and be responsible for securing new business, managing existing client relationships, extending or renewing existing contracts, as well as identify opportunities for customer growth in new geographic locations, and new industries.
- Understand market trends, pricing, seasonality, and capacity fluctuations and develop annual business plan accordingly.
- Prepare RFPs on a spot or transactional basis (understanding of cost components is crucial)
- Accurately track growth opportunities through a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- Develop company marketing and communication materials.
Requirements
The candidate will:
- Have transportation sales experience.
- Have a deep understanding of the trucking industry and familiarity with the regulations that govern it.
- Possess local/regional market knowledge of customers, suppliers and competition.
- Possess local/regional market knowledge of truckload lanes and rates.
- Be a motivated self-starter.
- Be professional in their demeanor and their ability to communicate, both written and oral.
- Be flexible. We are an agile company and we, along with our customers, expect our employees to be the same.
- Have the ability to qualify and quantify potential opportunities.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary with an extremely generous, unlimited commission structure. This is an ideal situation for a motivated Sales Executive with an existing book of business that will follow.
