Sr. Network Engineer
Hybrid onsite – Plano, TX – 3 days per week onsite
1 year engagement, will extend 2 additional years

CDW is adding to our Solution Domain Management team! This role is for a Senior Network Engineer who has in-depth experience with Cisco routing and switching, DNAC (Cisco Digital Network Architecture) and VXLan expertise. An excellent opportunity, this is for the confident engineer who enjoys influencing decisions and making an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical expert on Cisco products and technologies.
- Lead complex projects and ensure the successful integration of Cisco solutions within the client's infrastructure.
- Regularly assess network performance and recommend improvements.
- Provide in-depth troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex networking problems involving Cisco technologies.
- Act as the main point of contact between Cisco and the client.
- Provide training and mentorship to the client’s IT staff on Cisco technologies and best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation on network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Support maintenance windows and perform maintenance work such as software upgrades and hardware RMA.
- Conduct engineering design reviews and perform automation design reviews.
Must-Have Skills:
- Extensive experience with Cisco products and technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in providing training and mentorship on Cisco technologies.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to support maintenance windows and perform maintenance work.
