My client is a mid-cap sized privately held wholesaler in the fashion apparel space, they are based in NYC.
The CFO is looking to add a new position both due to growth and succession planning. The Director of Finance will report into the CFO.
A fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to grow into the #1 position as the CFO is planning to retire in the near future and is building their succession plan.
The candidate must come from a CGP type environment, ideally wholesale.
The ideal profile is someone who started in Public Accounting (ideally B4), has transitioned to industry, became a Controller and who has now been in a blended Finance and Accounting position (Financial Controller, DOF, VP of Finance).
They are located in NYC and are in the office 4 days a week, with WFH on Fridays (you must reside within daily commuting distance of NYC).
As always, this is a permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried position (this is NOT temp, or temp to perm).
Compensation is based on experience:
The Director of Finance range is between $175k - $200k base + bonus
The role will cover:
- This role will be focused on FP&A along with managing the Controllership team
- The full F&A team is close to 20 FTE
- Handling of the budgets, forecasting, short/long term planning
- Managing of cashflow, important since the apparel space is seasonal
- Experience with factoring, licensing, royalties, multi currencies
- Will look to streamline process, increase efficiencies
Who are you?
- MUST have prior experience within the CPG space, ideally with Wholesale experience
- MBA is highly desirable
- Having a CPA is a +
- 15+ years of experience.
Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
