Hiring for a Quality Continuous Improvement Manager - Hands-on collaborative role - Development and implement improvements for the design and production of engineered advanced materials.
Our client in Blacksburg VA is hiring for an experienced Quality Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the U.S. quality program, support design and production, plus develop and implement improvements as necessary.
Our client is growing their U.S. production and already has strong relationships to provide finished materials to major brand customers and agencies.
You will work with customers on quality specifications and coordinate improvements with product development and production teams.
You will work closely with raw material suppliers to ensure efficient and accurate supply of consumables.
You will use lean manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality standards to continuously improvement production.
This role is ideal for someone who likes a little travel, can roll up your sleeves, be a team player and work closely with a variety of manufacturing teams.
Background
- BS Degree preferred
- Quality Engineering / ISO experience in plastic or foam materials manufacturing a big plus!
- Highly organization with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred (or similar training)
- Six Sigma certification is a big plus
- Lean manufacturing training and implementation experience is ideal.
