Lead Machine Learning Engineer
-> up to $450k base + ~1-1.5% equity
We are currently partnered with a well-backed Seed-stage startup who are revolutionizing the landscape of language models (LLMs) through intelligence and optimization, enabling businesses and individuals to utilize LLMs that meet their explicit needs and parameters.
The business have raised just shy of $9M raised from prestigious investors and have garnered significant interest from large enterprise customers without outbound sales efforts.
They are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead ML Engineer to tackle the technical challenges of developing and deploying a sophisticated model router. This role is pivotal in advancing the business' technology and bringing it to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with founders to develop and refine ML technology.
- Lead, grow and develop a team of ML engineers (1-3 years' exp)
- Innovate new techniques, tools, and architectures to enhance the performance, latency, throughput, and efficiency of deployed models.
Key skills/exp required
- PhD or Master's from a prestigious institution
- 7+ Years' ML Experience and experience at top-tier organizations (Meta, Google, Uber, Anthropic or similar)
- Strong experience with LLMs & NLP - experience building end-to-end LLM products, strong knowledge of pretraining, post-training and finetuning.
- Good knowledge of Inference
- Management experience
We are looking for individuals with 7+ years' commercial experience for this hire who have previously mentored/acted as a Tech Lead on complex projects.
