In this role, you’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth and accurate payroll operations while helping us grow and innovate.
What You’ll Do:
Payroll Operations Mastery:
- Oversee and manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for both weekly and biweekly cycles.
- Collaborate closely with HR to streamline payroll systems and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Continuously refine and optimize payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and manage all payroll-related audits and reports.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and integrate them into our systems seamlessly.
Tech-Savvy Problem Solving:
- Leverage our tech stack (including Intacct, Bill, Tallie, Blackline) to modernize and enhance payroll functions.
- Partner with IT and accounting teams to integrate new technologies that support our growing payroll needs.
Collaboration & Growth:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, especially HR and finance, to align payroll strategies with company growth and operations.
- Support financial audits and compliance reviews by providing detailed payroll data and insights.
What You Bring:
Expertise in Payroll:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in multi-state payroll environments.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented:
- Experience with payroll systems and ERP platforms (Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Tallie preferred).
- A passion for using technology to improve processes and accuracy.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with HR, finance, and other departments.
- High integrity, energy, and a collaborative spirit to lead payroll initiatives.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in the healthcare industry or a private equity environment.
- Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions, particularly with payroll integration.
