Overview
Welling Young, LLC has partnered with a leading third-party claims administrator responsible for multiple claims programs. Under moderate supervision, this position handles primarily Total Loss Claims, but will also manage repairable auto property damage claims, salvage coordination, subrogation and collection of deductibles. This adjuster will manage claims through the entire claim life cycle, while maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards and state specific regulations.
Responsibilities
- Resolution of Total Loss claims of all types of vehicles in all 50 States. This includes large trucks and specialty vehicles.
- Evaluate repair versus total loss and prepare motor vehicle valuation and salvage quotes.
- Effectively manage Total Loss settlement process and rental expenses by working closely with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors.
- Evaluate all claims for recovery potential; directly manage recovery efforts and/or engage and direct resources (debt collection and litigation) for recovery efforts.
- Provide quality customer service to meet the needs of the insured, claimant as well as all internal and external customers.
Requirements
- 5 plus years of Total Loss and Auto Physical Damage Claims Adjusting experience.
- Prior claim handling experience, including: basic coverage, liability, damage analysis and subrogation.
- Understanding of commercial and franchised auto dealer operations preferred.
- Multi Line claim handling experience preferred.
