Job Description
Responsible for managing and supporting the Quality Management System for both renewable electrical power generation operation parts supply warehouse and logistic center. The role involves the provision of quality parts and supplies into the maintenance and repair system of wind, solar, and battery storage plants throughout North America. Acciona operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) comprising ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 and the successful candidate will operate as part of the Quality, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability team supporting all other departments and functions in the US and Canada.
Supplier Quality Assurance:
• Reception of materials/components resource
• Technical experience with wind farms and PV spare parts
• Basic mechanical and electrical background
• Supplier performance monitoring and coordination with end-users
• Technical qualification of critical products/services
• Suggest corrective and improvement actions to technical specifications
Quality Management System Support:
• Non-Conformity detection and administration
• Life cycle monitoring and administration
• Non-Conformity cost monitoring
• KPIs monitoring
• Enablon (software) power user
Integrated Management System & Continuous Improvement:
• Enablon (software) NCR follow-through
• Corrective Action and Improvement Action administration and follow through
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality failures-Serial defects
• Support internal and external audits – combined 9001, 14001, and 45001
Qualifications
Degree/Training: Associate degree, trade school, or minimum 3-years related experience. Experience in a Quality Assurance role is needed and experience as a wind technician would be an asset but not necessary.
Profile: Very good verbal and written communication skills are required – significant writing will be required. Must have leadership traits and potential. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment. Must have basic mechanical and electrical background for supporting root cause analysis. Capable of working at height in wind turbines and on the ground on construction projects. Must be able to pass wind turbine climb and rescue training; have full range of motion; be able to maintain fitness and capability of wearing a standard fall protection harness without weight restrictions (max 265lbs.) Turbine access will be primarily for education, inspections, and auditing.
Languages/Level: English – fluent including writing. Bilingual with Spanish is desired.
Years/Areas experience required: 3-10 years of relevant experience.
Expected travel: Not necessary.
Location: Dallas, TX in the continental supply warehouse.
Hourly rate: $24-27/hour.
