Regional Services firm seeks an IT Systems Administrator to participate in managing the company’s growing network and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the company’s infrastructure and related services. This position will play a key role in the management, planning, and operations of IT systems, including using best practices for business operations and ensuring IT system’s high availability and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain the company's local and cloud-based server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Install, configure, and update server hardware and software, as well as manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange, Intune, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Defender
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server operating systems.
- Experience with networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
