Role: DevOps Architect
Location: Dallas, TX
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Providing a single-point-of-contact into the Cloud Practice for the BU and all subsidiary Accounts
- Evangelizing the Synechron Cloud & DevOps Practice with practitioners and senior leaders in the given business unit
- Being closely involved in the Synechron Cloud & DevOps business in the given business unit and having or quickly being able to develop a network of contacts with local practitioners and salespeople
- Working with Account teams within the BU to drive sales and increase Cloud & DevOps related revenue
- Governing Cloud & DevOps sales activity to ensure it is captured and tracked appropriately in the corporate CRM
- Mobilization of projects and providing oversight to ensure successful delivery and high client satisfaction
- Working with Global Practice Leads and peer BU Leads to develop the Cloud & DevOps Practice and ensure all BU activity is aligned to Practice standards
- Owning the delivery of internal Practice projects designed to enhance Synechron’s capabilities
- Providing line management function to all Cloud & DevOps staff within the BU – working with individuals to set career goals and assisting them in career progression
- Responsible for resourcing projects and recruiting new Practice staff within the BU
- Training and certification of Cloud & DevOps practitioners within the BU
Requirement:
You are:
- Have significant experience as an architect or senior engineer in the financial services industry or large enterprise
- Be able to talk authoritatively about DevOps, modern engineering practices, developer efficiency, cloud architecture, security, infrastructure-as-code, compliance-as-code, SRE, FinOps and other related themes that we consider important to our clients
- Have working knowledge of AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud including definition, design or implementation experience of IaaS, PaaS and DBaaS
- Be confident developing relationships with new and existing clients, working on sales and pre-sales, delivering and contributing to global Practice sales collateral
- Understand business needs, be able to conduct technical discussions, document business requirements, estimate projects and be able to design technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and an ability to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
The ideal candidate would also have:
- Google Cloud Digital Leader, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals certificates (or higher)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or Administrator certificates or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Terraform & its ecosystem
- Proficiency with Gitlab, GitHub & GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or an equivalent
- Proficiency in Perl and Python.
