Analyst
RREAF Holdings is seeking to hire an analyst to join its Analytics department. The qualified candidate will apply excel financial modeling and analytical skills to build, prepare, and maintain financial reports and company workbooks.
The responsibilities associated with this position include updating waterfalls utilized to evaluate potential exit scenarios, ensuring financials are added to the financial management workbooks which help RREAF Asset Managers to analyze and track property performance, and producing underwriting models that support development, acquisition, and recapitalization decisions.
The candidate will assist the Asset Management department in the production of annual budgets and investor reports. The creation and enhancement of annual budgets will support Asset Management in implementing operational strategies and achieving financial targets. The investor reports, distributed quarterly, function as the main vehicle of communicating critical investment metrics and asset performance between RREAF and its investors.
Finally, the Analytics department will maintain the integrity of the data in all company trackers and databases which feed the back end of our Power BI dashboard.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain disposition waterfalls for properties or portfolios with the ability to run multiple exit or refinancing scenarios for C-Suite and Asset Management.
- Update data in financial management workbooks on a monthly basis to provide advisory and in-depth analysis to Asset Management regarding any abnormalities from prior months as well as discrepancies from pro forma numbers and budgets.
- Build new financial management workbooks as new assets are acquired or constructed.
- Assist Asset Management team with investor reporting.
- Perform ad hoc modeling tasks for various RREAF departments. Examples include underwriting, asset valuation, projecting lease turnover trends, creating financial workbooks and trackers for other departments, etc.
Key Attributes/Experience
- Relevant work experience in finance and/or real estate is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commercial real estate required
- Thorough knowledge of real estate finance fundamentals including IRR, EM, return waterfalls, etc.
- Financial modeling skills with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with applications such as RealPage, CoStar, etc. is a plus
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to produce high quality work product
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, and still provide accurate computations and neat work product
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
