The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal
Computer Skills:
- MS Word and Excel
- Electronic document repository system
- Internet navigation
- Electronic search databases
- Legal research systems
Candidates must:
- Understand medical/injury terminology.
- Prepare for depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trial.
- Analyze data and prepare summary charts.
- Review, organize, and analyze discovery, which includes, but is not limited to, financial and medical records.
- Perform legal and investigative research.
- Prioritize work assignments, projects, and deadlines.
- Communicate and interact with clients, attorneys and expert witnesses.
- Be able to work independently.
- Demonstrate excellent people, oral, and written communication skills.
- Possess a strong client service philosophy, responsiveness, and sense of urgency.
- Work effectively in pressure situations with the ability to multi-task and be an excellent team player.
- Occasionally maintain flexible working hours.
- Maintain confidential Firm and client information.
