Position: Applications Architect
Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
Compensation: $130,000 W2 OR ($75 - $80/hr C2C OR 1099)

Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in multiple IT areas and
2–3 years of relevant architecture experience.
Requires advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration.
Experience providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy.
Experience developing enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features.
Experience using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications.
Experience providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across the Department.
Experience determining specifications, plans, designs, and developing the most complex and business-critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes—either individually or in collaboration with the project team.
Experience developing programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
Experience with state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
Experience in researching and maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential applications to the Department.
Experience assisting in resolving difficult support problems.
Experience understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
Experience acting as a technical expert across multiple disciplines, as well as serving as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
Experience as a .NET full-stack developer.
Experience ensuring application performance and security standards through best practices.
Proficient in speaking and writing in the English language.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Scope of work:

Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy.
Develop enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features.
Use a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers.
Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the Department.
Determine specifications, then plan, design, and develop the most complex and business-critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes—either individually or in concert with the project team.
Develop programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
Possess in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
Research and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and possible applications for the Department.
