We have partnered with a client of ours in Dallas, Texas who is looking for a Talented Senior BI Developer to spearhead the transition of their data platform from traditional on-premise solutions (SQL Server, SSIS, Tableau) to a modern cloud-based environment using Azure SQL Managed Instance and Microsoft Fabric.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our clients data infrastructure while utilizing Power BI to create powerful data visualizations. You will be an essential part of their efforts to modernize their data strategy, improve data accessibility, and drive innovation across the organization. Your ability to translate business needs into insightful reports will help empower stakeholders with the data they need to make informed decisions.
What you need to be Successful in this role:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in BI development, data visualization, and analytics.
- Expertise in Power BI architecture and related areas, such as data modeling, security, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Extensive experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, on-premise SQL Server, and Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in Power BI dashboard design, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in collaborative, team-oriented settings.
Preferred and Nice to have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or SSIS.
- Familiarity with Azure services, particularly Azure Data Lake.
- Experience integrating APIs with BI tools.
- Previous experience working with manufacturing data.
- Understanding of D365 Finance and Operations data structures.
