The team in Texas is dedicated to improving landfill operations, recycling initiatives, and long-term waste reduction strategies. They're looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team and lead our post-operations and landfill management efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all landfill post-operations activities, including waste treatment, capping, and closure processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Manage landfill staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize landfill capacity, reduce waste, and improve sustainability.
- Monitor and report on landfill performance, maintenance, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with internal teams on environmental impact assessments and remediation projects.
- Foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in waste management, landfill operations, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of landfill regulations, environmental laws, and sustainability practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in operational software and Microsoft Office Suite.
