Our client is looking for a Category Manager who will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the organization's goals and budget. This is a fully on-site role in Miami, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for IT categories, including hardware, software, and services.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT procurement landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams, to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with e-procurement systems.
- Knowledge of IT industry trends and technologies.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
