Senior Account Executive
Location: Dallas, TX (*East Dallas; In-person; hybrid 1-2 days post successful 90-day ramp)
Base: $90,000 to $120,000 (based on experience)
OTE: $190,000 to $220,000
Target Start Date: November 4, 2024
Position Summary:
Weathermatic is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our Sales Team. As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting Weathermatic's innovative water management solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
- Pipeline Development: Take ownership of at least 50% of pipeline generation by proactively identifying, researching, and engaging potential prospects. This includes sourcing new leads through various channels, such as outbound efforts, networking, and partnerships, to build and maintain a steady stream of qualified opportunities that drive new business growth.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, serving as their primary point of contact for Weathermatic's products and services.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Weathermatic's product portfolio (specifically SmartLink) and effectively communicate its value propositions to customers.
- Sales Strategies: Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including working with SDRs for prospecting, lead generation, and sales presentations.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline and provide regular updates to the sales management team.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Marketing and Product, to align sales efforts with overall corporate objectives.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Manager and executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in a B2B environment, with a strong focus on customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Proven Sales Development Experience: 36-48 months of successful experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), consistently achieving or exceeding quota in a high-paced sales environment.
- Ready for the Next Step: Demonstrated track record of success as an SDR, showcasing the skills, discipline, and drive to transition into a Senior Account Executive role and take ownership of the full sales cycle.
- Lead Qualification Expertise: Strong ability to identify, nurture, and qualify leads, preparing them for conversion into new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot) and sales software (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.).
- Knowledge of the irrigation and water management industry is a plus.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about sustainability.
- Ability to travel minimum 25% domestically to achieve sales goals.
