We have an Oil & Gas client based in the Houston Galleria area that is looking for (2) Cost Engineers to join their team supporting their upcoming megaprojects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for cost management activities in line with established cost control methodologies.
- Offer early warnings on potential cost deviations to enable timely interventions and corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain cost control records, including commitments, Value of Work Done (VOWD), accruals, forecasts, budgets, and contingency plans.
- Utilize RADA dashboard for monitoring cost data, performance indices, status updates, and variance analysis.
- Contribute to the budgeting process.
- Assist in aligning cost control measures with project scope and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
- Develop and set up CBS for projects at different phases, adhering to corporate procedures.
- Provide cost information to support Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) submissions and revisions while maintaining historical records.
- Support regular reviews with team leads and engineers to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Assess contractor progress, productivity, and claims.
- Implement cost control processes with expertise to deliver clear, relevant business insights for cost reporting.
- Participate in cost and schedule assurance reviews.
- Analyze and apply relevant benchmark data during cost control preparations.
- Actively engage in cost control training and development.
- Manage the change control process.
- Prepare and maintain cost reports, and monitor cost trends for monthly reporting.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in cost management, preferably within the energy sector.
- Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Site-based experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cost control and management principles.
- Proficiency with project management software and financial analysis tools (experience with Unifier is a plus).
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial information and complex cost matters clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with various levels of the organization, including clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Understanding of energy industry processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Certification such as Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) or equivalent is desirable.
