Must Have Skills:
+10 years of experience
Experience in Data Center construction and commissioning standards and practices
Ability to audit and effectively promote safe site practices against written standards as part of assurance role
Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation with strong ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure design of LOTO systems is 100% effective and in compliance with standards
Familiar with: Power distribution, mechanical cooling, hydraulic, pneumatic, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, fire/life safety, and controls systems)
Day to Day Summary:
The Controlling Energy Marshal is a quality assurance/supervisory role that helps ensure the vendors’ and contractors’ Energy Isolation and Electrical Safety Programs meets or exceeds company safety policy requirements as stood up by the Authorizing Energy Marshal. Energy Isolation Management is a significant part of the construction and commissioning efforts. To ensure focus and compliance for all aspects and types of energy isolation a Controlling Energy Marshal is required for each campus or project. This critical role implements learnings, provides consistency, and drives rigor into the energy isolation and electrical safety programs. The Controlling Energy Marshal is a representative who oversees and assures the Authorizing Energy Marshal (GC) and supplemental vendor support comply with the overall Energy Isolation Program Management on a datacenter construction campus.
