JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Senior Vice President of Finance, Solid Rock Asset Management
Position Summary: The Senior Vice President will serve as the primary onsite leader of the Dallas office and report to the Principals of the Companies. The SVP will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, accounting, and administrative functions for corporate affairs and overseeing the asset management reporting and financial analysis for the clients investments. The SVP will coordinate closely with the other senior executives, with regard to underwriting, due diligence and acquisitions of properties, on both a corporate level as well as in client matters. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished finance professional with solid business acumen and experience in the hospitality industry. In addition, the SVP will serve as a key advisor to the principals in setting and executing the corporate and financial strategies and assist principals with generating new business and client engagement.
The Companies: Solid Rock Ventures was formed to provide investment and development services for hotels and resorts for its own account and as an advisor to third party clients that do not have the desire to create the high-level infrastructure required. Solid Rock Asset Management provides asset management and project management services on a third-party basis to owners of hotels. Solid Rock Real Estate Ventures provide similar services for the commercial office and other various sectors. The companies are affiliates of Solid Rock Group, a multi-dimensional investment and advisory firm with interests currently in hospitality, office, retail, healthcare and media enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Partnerships
· Actively assist reporting team’s efforts in monthly asset management and project management/CapEx reporting
· Supervise financial reporting, budging, forecasting, investment analysis and valuation services for client portfolios
· Provide accounting services and produce financial statements for client’s investments, as needed
· Manage debt servicing and loan compliance, as needed
· Primary contact for the various property lenders for loans related to client owned properties, as needed
· Develop procedures to track and manage property or corporate related compliance issues
Investments and Developments
· Support underwriting, market research and due diligence for acquisitions, developments and financings
· Participate in the development of Investment Memos
· Support management, franchise and third-party agreement negotiations
· Actively work with Principals of the Companies in capital market activities related to investment and development activities.
· Manage closing pro ration efforts, as needed
· Review and comment on closing statements, as needed
Corporate/Miscellaneous Duties
· Oversee corporate accounting efforts including monthly closing of books and reporting to Principals
· Oversee company contracts with suppliers and vendors, renegotiating as needed to ensure cost control.
· Oversee Human Resource responsibilities including managing and processing payroll, maintaining personnel files, on-boarding new employees and administration of benefits
· Manage corporate insurance programs
· Coordinate with corporate accountants on tax reporting and intercompany accounting.
· Safeguard financial information, to include account information, passwords, physical check stock etc. and revise as needed and maintain procedures for such
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or CPA a plus
· 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
· Real Estate and/or hospitality experience required.
· Functional knowledge across financial analysis, reporting and budgeting
· Experience with lender relationships, capital raising and treasury management
· Strong communication skills.
